On May 9, 1955, Jim Henson debuted his own puppet television show called Sam and Friends. To me, Sam and Friends was one of the most inspirational things Jim Henson ever worked on. A daily, four and a half minute long show where he just had fun. It was basically a web series before the web was even invented. Here is a recreation of one of my favorite of the surviving Sam and Friends pieces. It was rehearsed and shot in all one take to simulate the ‘live’ conditions of the original show. Happy 60 years Sam and Friends!
